Mail2SMS

Mail2SMS is a simple workflow that converts an email to an SMS.

There are multiple ways of building and modifying this process, but the standard Mail2SMS workflow triggers when an email matching the chosen channel is received. The message body is then converted to an SMS and sent to the number specified in the “to” field.

The recipient syntax is decided by the email channel used, but the standard setup uses either of the two syntaxes below.

[phonenumber]@[subdomain].[domain].[tld] (i.e. +46700000000@bosbec.qlnk.se)

[phonenumber]@[domain].[tld] (i.e +46700000000@qlnk.se).

Please make sure you remove any signatures from your email before sending, especially images, to ensure a higher SMS delivery rate, as this affects the number of characters and SMS parts sent.

Read more about character limits and SMS parts on our FAQ page.

While there is a standard workflow and installation for this workflow, it is also easy to build yourself. The first episode of our Bosbec WE Introductory Course shows how we build such a workflow. You’ll find this episode below.
